Bridge to 50 Hours / Optional Dry Needling level 2 Enhancement
Advanced Continuing Education’s Dry Needling Bridge to 50 Hours
This course is designed to aid dry needling practitioners in Indiana in meeting the IAPTA's recent mandate requiring 50 hours of dry needling education by the end of June 2024. We place special emphasis on safety, particularly in mitigating risks associated with needling near lung fields.
The course structure includes several sections: an updated evidence review, a safety review emphasizing lung field considerations, high-value techniques selected by our Advanced Continuing Education team, reviews and hands-on practice of techniques chosen by course participants via pre-course polling, and a discussion or review of alternative dry needling techniques.
Our course's main objective is to bridge the gap between a participant’s current continuing education (CE) volume and the required 50 contact hours mandated by the IAPTA. We facilitate this by welcoming participants who have completed their initial training with other CE providers to join our course.
To offer greater flexibility, we are planning a tiered participation structure, enabling participants to opt out of sections they find less meaningful, thus earning fewer CEUs. However, safety-related portions of the course will be mandatory for all participants.
